How to Edit a Service Appointment in MioSalon?

How to Access Appointment Details to Edit the Service Appointment

Before you can edit, you need to open the appointment details. MioSalon gives you two ways to do this:

Option 1: Via Calendar View

1.      Go to Appointment from the left menu.

2.      Make sure you’re on the Calendar view (top-right toggle).

3.      Each appointment appears as a coloured block under the assigned staff column.

4.      The block shows the time rangeclient nameresource, and service name.

5.      Click on the appointment block to open the Appointment Details popup.

Appointment Details popup (Calendar view) displays:

Field

Details

Service Name

Name of the booked service (e.g., Hair Cut)

Service Price

Price of the service (e.g., ₹100.00)

Time

Scheduled time range (e.g., 05:30 PM – 07:10 PM)

Service Duration

Duration of the service (e.g., 90 Mins)

Block Duration

Staff blocked time before service (e.g., 10 Mins)

Waiting Duration

Customer readiness duration (e.g., 15 Mins)

Stylist

Assigned staff member

Resource

Assigned resource (e.g., Room 1)

Booking Type

How the appointment was booked (e.g., Walk-In)

Payment Status

Current payment status (e.g., Not-Paid)

Booking Note

Any notes added during booking

Last Updated Date

When the appointment was last modified

Created By

User who created the appointment

Address

Client’s address

Customer Note

Any customer-specific notes

·       On the right side, you’ll see the Appointment Status with colour-coded options:

o   New In-App Booking (blue)

o   New Online Booking (pink)

o   Arrived (yellow)

o   Started (green)

o   No Show (orange)

o   Completed (purple)

·       At the bottom, you have four action buttons:

o   Cancel Appointment (red) — Cancel this appointment

o   Freeze — Freeze the appointment

o   Edit — Edit the appointment details

o   Raise Sale — Raise a sale/bill for this appointment

Option 2: Via List View

1.      Go to Appointment from the left menu.

2.      Click the “List” toggle in the top-right corner (next to Calendar).

3.      All appointments are displayed as individual cards.

Each appointment card shows: - Client Name and Mobile Number - Appointment Date - Staff Name assigned to the appointment - TimeService Name, and Duration - Booked by — The user who created the booking and the date

At the bottom of each card, you’ll see two buttons: - “View Details” — Opens the appointment details popup - “New ▲” — Shows the current appointment status (with a dropdown to change it)

Click “View Details” to open the Appointment Details popup:

How the appointment was created (e.g., Walk-In)

Any notes added during booking

Assigned resource (e.g., Room 1)

·       At the bottom, you have three action buttons:

o   Cancel Appointment (red) — Cancel this appointment

o   Edit — Open the Edit Appointment screen

o   Raise Sale — Raise a sale/bill for this appointment

1. Edit an Appointment

Overview

Sometimes a client calls to change their appointment time, switch to a different stylist, or add an extra service to their visit. Instead of cancelling and creating a new appointment from scratch, the Edit Appointment feature lets you update all these details directly. 

You can change the date, time, staff, resource, or services — and the system will re-check availability before saving. This keeps your calendar accurate and saves time for both the front desk and the client.

Navigation Path

·       Via Calendar: Appointment → Calendar → Click appointment block → Edit


·       Via List: Appointment → List → View Details → Edit


Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Click “Edit”

·       On the Appointment Details popup, click the “Edit” button at the bottom.

·       This opens the Edit Appointment screen.

Step 2: Make Your Changes

On the Edit Appointment screen, you can update any of the following:

On the Right Panel: 

Date — Change the appointment date 

Appointment Start Time — Change the start time 

Staff — Reassign to a different staff member 

Resource — Change the resource (e.g., switch to a different room) 

Time Slot — Adjust the time slot 

Staff Blocked Before Service — Change the buffer time (e.g., 10 mins) 

Customer Readiness Duration A-fter Service — Change the waiting time (e.g., 15 mins)

 - Delete Service — Click the  Delete icon to remove a service from the appointment



On the Left Panel:

 - Add More Items— Browse the Services list or use the search bar to add additional services, packages and Purchased Packages.

Popular Services section shows frequently booked services with a “Previously Availed” badge if the client has used them before .

All Services section lists every available service by category - Use the quantity selector (– / +) to adjust service counts.

Step 3: Check Availability and Update

·       Click “Check All Availability” to verify that the updated staff and resources are available.

·       Click “Proceed Appointment” to go to the Appointment Summary.

Step 4: Review and Save

·       On the Appointment Summary screen, review all the updated details:

o   Client information on the left panel

o   Service details (name, staff, resource, time) on the right panel

o   Appointment Notes — Add or update any notes

o   Appointment Status — Update the status if needed

o   Item Total and Tax — Verify the pricing

·       Click “Update” to save your changes.

·       Click “Cancel” to discard the changes and go back.
