How to add a new product?

To add a new product:

  1. Login to MioSalon.

  2. Go to Settings from the main menu.

  3. Navigate to Module Settings and click on Product.

  4. In the Product List Tab, click on the Add Product button for the specific product category name, or search for the product category name in the Search Box as well.

  5. If the product is added without a product category, products are added to  No Category Products.

  6. An Add Product popup appears. Enter the following details:

  7. Product Name (Mandatory) - Enter the product name to be added.     

  8. SKU/Barcode - Enter the SKU/Barcode details of the product.

  9. Volume - Enter the product Volume and its Unit.

  10. Choose the Unit from the drop-down consists of: Milligram (mg), Gram (g), Kilogram (kg), Milliliters (ml), Liter (l), Ounce (oz), Packets (pkt) or Pieces (pcs).

  11. Tax Applicable - Select the tax from the existing tax options. If not, create a new tax by clicking Add Tax.  If tax for the product is not required, then select Not applicable.

  12. Cost Price - The price at which the product was purchased.

  13. Selling Price (Mandatory) - Enter the selling price of the service without any discounts, offers, or promotions. The selling price must be greater than the cost price.

  14. Special Price - Enter the discounted or promotional price for the product. For retail products, this will serve as the selling price.

  15. HSN/SAC Code - Select the HSN/SAC code from the existing options. If not, create a new code by clicking Add HSN/SAC.  If the code for the product is not required, then select Not Applicable.

  1. Check or uncheck the box to enable or disable Internal use only (Not available for retail sales) for the product.

    1. Enable Internal use only (Not available for retail sales) if the product is used only for consumption.

    2. Disable Internal use only (Not available for retail sales) if the product is used only for retail sale.

    3. Note: A product can be either used for internal purposes or retail sales, not applicable for both.

  2. Enter the following details in the Stock Control section:

  1. Location - Displays the Business Name.

  2. In Stock Quantity - To enter the stock quantity.  It displays as Quantity  (Volume Unit) Eg: 1 (100 g)

  3. Total Volume - Total volume of the product (Volume * Stock on Hand)

  4. Minimum Quantity Alert Level - Enter the minimum level value of the product. An alert message will appear in the notification icon area once the minimum quantity value level is reached.

  1. Click on the “Save” button to add a new product in a product category.
